Overview

MIA Film is an all-female production company whose name contains a simple visual reversal: IAM and MIA, two readings of the same three letters. Starting from the logo designed by Chen Li, the animation transforms this linguistic coincidence into a short narrative. IAM first appears suspended in space, before the founder’s two cats enter the frame, disturb the composition and rearrange the letters into MIA. Their intervention gives the identity a playful, personal rhythm while preserving the clarity of the original mark. Developed with animator Margherita Premuroso and sound designer Giacomo Mazzucato, the sequence balances movement, timing and sound to make the transition feel natural and memorable. A compact motion system turns the logo into a living element, extending the company’s identity beyond a static signature.
