The third evolution of Universal Music Italia’s Shopify ecosystem, redesigned to merge editorial storytelling, artist identity, and retail experience within a more flexible digital platform.
Overview
Developed as a complete redesign of the previous release, the new e-commerce expands the platform beyond traditional music retail, introducing a more scalable system for apparel, merchandise, collector editions, fan clubs, and artist-driven collections. The interface combines immersive visual compositions with a more structured commercial layer, balancing campaign-oriented storytelling and product accessibility. Large-format artist imagery, modular layouts, and cut-out product visuals create a flexible visual language capable of adapting to different musical identities while maintaining consistency across the platform. The modular structure of the website allows the rapid creation of custom landing pages and launch-oriented experiences, supporting the continuous rhythm of releases, collaborations, pre-orders, and exclusive collections. The redesign preserves the visual identity introduced in previous releases while refining its typographic system through custom spacing adjustments developed specifically for this project. The intervention improves readability and visual balance, particularly in the many interface contexts where typography is used entirely in uppercase.
